The Evanston In-School Music Association (EISMA) is proud to present a free, all-ages community concert at the Evanston Public Library, made possible with support from the Illinois Arts Council and Evanston Arts Council. This special event continues EISMA's mission of providing accessible, high-quality music experiences to the Evanston community. For this concert, EISMA welcomes the acclaimed Chris Greene Quartet (CGQ), a group that has captivated audiences with their dynamic and genre-blending approach to jazz. About the Chris Greene Quartet Led by Evanston's own saxophone colossus, Chris Greene, the Chris Greene Quartet (CGQ) has been a force in the Chicago jazz scene since their debut performance in 2005. Known for their ability to honor jazz traditions while pushing boundaries, CGQ seamlessly fuses elements of funk, hip-hop, rock, Afro-Cuban, blues, and reggae, reflecting the diverse musical influences of its members. The quartet features: Chris Greene - Saxophones Damian Espinosa - Piano & Keyboards Marc Piane - Double & Electric Basses Steve Corley - Drums & Percussion With numerous awards and critical acclaim, CGQ continues to break new ground in the jazz world. Their latest album, Conversance, marks a milestone as the first-ever jazz release on Pravda Records, Chicago's longest-running independent rock label. Join us for an unforgettable free live music experience, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of jazz in Evanston!
