The Musical Offering Jr. MO Show Summer Musical Theater Training Program

The Musical Offering's musical theater training program for students ages 10-14 who are interested in exploring and developing their musical acting, singing, and stage presence skills.

This year's original musical will be directed by MO faculty members, AJ Buegel and Lucas Burr, and created/written by Howard Godfrey. In the tradition of our high school "MO Show" annual production, students will be involved in bringing to life all aspects of the show such as story and character development, staging, choreography, and music, culminating in a final live performance at the Devonshire Theater in Skokie.

• Rehearsals: June 9-July 16 (MWF 6-7:30p) at The Musical Offering
• Performance: Thursday, July 17 at 7:00pm at Devonshire Cultural Center

This year's original musical is 'Detention.'

Detention follows a group of students who are all preparing for their first day of high school. However, after a series of unfortunate events, they all end up in detention on the first day of school! During their time in detention, the students begin to open up as their unlikely paths cross. 'Detention' explores the anxieties and cliches of high school in a humorous and relatable way.
